There are key marketing strategies that you must use.

Marketing is a part of every business out there, and it is vital to each one.

You should begin by creating a market strategy for your blog. Start by answering some questions:

1. Who would want to read your blog?

2. Do you have funds to use towards marketing?

3. How much time each week can you spend on marketing your blog?

Answer each one of these questions in as much detail as you possibly can. This will help you in your blog marketing strategy. There are many different ways to market your blog, and some people choose different paths than others. The important thing is to find out what works for you. Here is a marketing plan I use that you can also follow step by step:

Step 1 -

Use your blog link on email signatures, discussion board signatures, etc.

Step 2 -

Let all of your family and friends know where your blog is and encourage them to read it, link to it and subscribe to the RSS feed.

Step 3 -

Get involved in discussions boards, forums and other places that are relevant to your blog topic. You might be surprised at how much free advertising you can get just chatting with people.

Step 4 -

Stop goofing off! No, seriously, it is time to get down to business. Write a press release for your blog or hire someone to write it for you. Submit that press release to as many PR agencies you can.

Step 5 -

Look for other opportunities such as radio interviews, podcasting, being an expert to interview, TV interviews, and more.

Step 6 -

Advertise your blog in newsletters, websites and other blogs that have content related to your blog.

Step 7 -

Offer something for free such as an informational ebook. Everyone loves free stuff, and they will remember you for it!

Remember that you must keep track of your marketing strategy at all times. Figure out what works and what is weighing you down. You don't want to waste any of your time marketing with a certain company if it is bringing you little or no results. Keep up with the ones that do have results.

One more thing. Keep posting blogs on a regular basis so your readers always have something fresh to read and your blog gets into the web crawlers faster.
